Violence, corruption and crime, these are what worry citizens on both sides of the border. The United States and Mexico share a mutual commitment to confront organized criminal networks that operate across our borders and inside both our countries. Whether these networks smuggle people, drugs, money or arms, they must be dismantled. We work hard every day to do just that.

Many U.S. federal law enforcement agencies work alongside select Mexican counterparts, sharing information and providing training. Through either extradition or deportation, Mexico returns more than two hundred criminals wanted in the United States every year.

Mexican law enforcement agencies seize tons of drugs headed for the United States, as well as millions of dollars in cash and thousands of weapons. We collaborate with Mexico on many of these cases that overlap into U.S. jurisdictions.

We provide training and equipment to help Mexican law enforcement find and destroy meth labs, detect money laundering rings, arrest criminals who traffic small children, rescue kidnap victims and apprehend murderers.

Working together we make our communities in both countries safer, healthier places to live.
